Small-Ship Cruising
Alaska • British Columbia • Columbia • Snake River • Baja
Small ship cruising is the perfect compliment to any visit to the Inside Passage, where our smaller size and our focus on up close discoveries pay off among narrow channels, placid bays and hidden coves. Our Inside Passage cruises and cruise-tours seek out the exciting wildlife, scenery, and port towns in sheltered inner waters.
A Very Personal Way to Cruise
When you travel on a small ship, you enjoy cruising aboard a yacht-size ship with only 100 other guests. This unique approach to cruising gives you a chance to really get to know your traveling companions, yet there's plenty of space so you never feel crowded.
What Makes Small-Ship Cruising Unique?
-
Small-ships focus on what's outside and the glories you're seeing so close.
- The largest small ships hold only one hundred guests.
- On small ships the atmosphere is strictly casual -- leave your tuxedos and cocktail dresses at home!
- There are no lines for meals and at the Purser's desk, for disembarkation.
- You are free to visit the wheelhouse to chat with the skipper and enjoy a front-row view of the action.
- Aboard a small-ship, you'll soon be on a first-name basis with friendly, obliging staff.
|
"With bow-landing ramps, you're not limited to visiting cities with docks." |
- You're a few yards from the shoreline and just 15 feet above the water while passengers on large ships are a quarter mile away -- and far above the action.
- We cruise close up to shorelines and slip into beautiful back channels. Large ships stick strictly to the shipping lanes in the middle of the widest channels.
